Forthcoming gigs.

What were they like? Off to Manchester tonight.
Outstanding - Weezer had no chat at all just blasted through about 19 songs - all sing along classics

Pumpkins were loud ! New guitarist Kiki Wong is a good addition and they played all the belters aswell ( Today, Disarm, BWBW, Cherub Rock, 1979, Zero etc) but threw in a lot more obscure stuff aswell which was just as good.

Beth sounds superb.Thats a shame about Bill. When I went to see him down Liverpool earlier in the year,he had a full band.He had the cellist one side of him, and a brilliant slide guitar player the other side of him(a fella next to me said it was john powers son). They were brilliant.Sure I have heard an interview with him where he says he isn't comfortable playing live.I got tickets for Bill and gruff n'all. Cannot wait( hope they do something together).
Not an easy listen, but Bill discusses his issues honestly in this interview with James McMahon.

Thanks for that. Watched 15 minutes and it is fascinating. What a troubled man Bill is. Dead canny though. It kind of explains the sadness of his albums. The interviewer is brilliant n'all. I'll watch the rest at work tonight .I love their description of tories!

James used to live up here for a bit, possibly from when he was a student. Was frontman for a decent band called Mavis then went by the name A Ghost if memory is right. Sadly he's battling cancer currently. His interviews are always worth a listen. His Nadine Shah one recently was another difficult one for subject matter but he always comes across as a nice lad.

Got the Foo’s in Manchester on Saturday, looks immense but wet the night like

Did the Showhawk Duo the other month and they were incredible

I thought he was excellent myself.Ah well, different strokes and that.

He was absolutely leathered. It was quite tough to listen to knowing his struggles.

He mustn’t have thought much of it himself aswell as all the social media plugging for it was deleted shortly after it aired.

He always sounds awkward to me, uncomfortable with interviews, yet still engaging. But I thought his songs were excellent

Bit last minute but hopefully going to see Ed Harcourt in a pub in NYC tomorrow night. Needs a bit of finagling as only found out about it yesterday and already going down to Asbury Park for the weekend today

A mate went to see Blondie there last Saturday. Said they were brilliant and a great venue.
