Manchester? My mate sent me a pic from outside the venue this morning.

Sleater-Kinney for me tonight. (Laura Jane Grace ridiculously good this past w/e. Excellent support from Thelma and the Sleaze as well - Very entertaining queer-punk from Nashville that at times netted out somewhere between Joan Jett and Girlschool with cracking banter in between)

Just noticed Brogeal are one of the bands supporting The Wolfetones at Finsbury Park in July. Might get me'sel along.

Gigs for me, just SLF on Friday then Rebelfest in Manchester in May. Was supposed to go to From the Jam in May at the Boilershop but sold out, left it too late :mad:

I was at the last of the Pixies three night run in Manchester last night. As always they were very good. The playing the 'albums in full' concept still doesn't work for me though.

Interesting to note a young chap in a '92 SAFC away shirt towards the front during the support band. Lost sight of him after that. Anyone off here?

Wearing a football top to a Pixies gig isn’t something I thought would happen like! At least in a non-festival environment anyway.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit flat. There were definitely people there who didn't know what they'd signed up for, and lost interest pretty quickly.

No idea what went on, although Paz is quoted as a 'bit surprised' so it looks like she was fired.

New bass player was a bit shonky I thought, probably not that much of a surprise given she had about 5 days before going on tour.

Stranglers for me tonight, Yard Act tomorrow.

Meant to be seeing Clone Roses in Newcastle tomorrow. Bloody Metros cancelled so not going. Anyone interested I have 4 tickets for sale.
