Forthcoming gigs.

Due to circumstances (my friend being unreliable and cancelling last minute), I now have three spare tickets to The Futureheads tonight if anyone has need of them. DM me.

Rezillos last night at the cluny brings my 2023 gigs thin to a close- unless I do 1977 at the Peacock on Boxing Day.
What were they like? Watched them at Stone Valley a few years ago & it was a bit shit. I know they’re of an age, but it was like somebodies grandparents got up & started playing.

Peat n Diesel supporting are brilliant.

This😁
Seen Pete and diesel a couple of times definitely worth a watch.

Pretty much that - better in the cluny for the sound but they’ve always been a bit tongue in cheek - couple of new songs they played were good

Tom Smith last night, excellent as always, about 4/5th time seen him now, hes just growing in stature and confidence on the stage like.
A query more directed at the Firestation venue, im sure it said it was sold out, but standing seemed very spacious - is it just a H&S limit thing, as it didnt look or feel full at all?

Prowsey's Christmas bash last night was my final gig of the year unless I am lucky enough to get a ticket for The Lathums in Wigan next Sunday. A superb rendition of 'Rainy Night in Soho' as a tribute to Shane with Swill joining Prowsey and his band.

It was immense. That show just gets better and better every year, and it’s very high bar. Firstime seeing men they could hang and I really enjoyed them. Looking forward to seeing them at Northern Kin. Could do with Prowsey being on that bill too, what with TMTCH, Damien Dempsey and the Waterboys its all set up!

It was my first time at the Christmas bash and unfortunately I had picked up some lurgy and drive there and back so I’m not in the best place to judge the quality of the show. I’ve seen TMTCH and Prowsey about the same number of times over the years. I’m guessing 20+. One of the reasons that I haven’t been to Prowsey’s bash is that it has clashed with the TMTCH Christmas bash in London that I’ve attended a few times!

I replied to one of Northern Kins posts a few month ago & suggested a few bands. Think there was Ian Prowse, Skinny Lister, Young’uns & a few others.

There’s not loads of traffic on their socials, so hopefully they read it. Whether they’ll take any notice is another story.

Steve Mason(with arm in a sling)tonight at think tank was superb as ever. His voice is just getting better and better.Only about 50-70 people there though. Scandalous for such a talent( his keyboard player and drummer were class n'all).

Went to The Riverside last night. Seems they have done a bit of work in there to improve the viewing experience, which used to be poor.
Toilets improved too, not difficult I know.
It’s still a bit of a dump but a lot better.

Absolute Bowie put on a decent show for the Bowie fans.

Just back from the Fire Station where The Sweet were on tonight .
Absolutely feckin superb gig. 31 quid man, fantastic.

Really good concert and even though I have been Sunderland deserves a Pat on the back for a cracking venue.

Anything with Blockbuster and Ballroom Blitz as an encore - champion
