Forthcoming gigs.

Got me thinking.....Stiff Little Fingers, Public Service Broadcasting and The Wedding Present in those three places off the top of my head.

Aye its an interesting question like..only one band i can think of fits the bill for me like (if you accept stockton instead of boro for a wear-tees-tyne triple) and im sure @GTG won't be surprised to hear its the bug club.

You can add a few more venues to those 3 anarl! Tollard Royal and Crickhowell for starters!

The only NE treble I can think of atm is Public Service Broadcasting.

Well aye, north east treble and a festival treble of green man, end of the road and deer shed.

Just seen Weller tonight. Was great as always. 2 hours he played. Just 2 Jam songs. Probably 5 or 6 Style Council.
Dont bother me I like them all

I saw him last Easter at the City Hall..didn’t enjoy it tbh..his solo stuff isn’t my cup of tea like..i posted on here at the time that I thought the atmosphere was shite anarl..just people standing around talking where i was..he played the best part of 2 and a half hours anarl.

Dont like all his solo albums. About every other one hits the spot with me. Last one was hit and miss, Fat Pop. Thought the one before about Palm tres on Sunset was spot on. He did quite a bit of both of them.
He finished his main set with Peacock Suit which I dont like but did a great long versión if Into Tomorrow. Swings and Roundabouts.

Still a true great of British music after 45 years.

His 1st solo album is f***ing tremendous like. He was seen as a bit washed up at the time.Went to a half empty city hall to see him when it came out, and it's still one of my favourite gigs ever. Superb

I agree. Like the first ahead of Stanley Road and Wild Wood. He did Above the Clouds and Into Tomorrow.
One song though that stood out last night was Hung Up. Great tune.

Aaah, great song.Honestly that period from his debut to wildwood and all his b sides( I think hung up started as a b side?), we're brilliant. Thought his standard went down from Stanley Rd.But that debut man. Wow

I was at the same gig. Was tedious. Too many people chatting away.

Sorted my ticket yesterday for this. Glad I did as it’s sold out now.
I saw man power upload an insta story of Laurent Garnier and summit about the north east and shit mesell thinking he was booked up for a gig up here

after a proper look I think he was just saying he looked like Bob Mortimer

Well PiL were amazing. I wouldn't say I was a fan, never mind a big fan,, but that was fantastic.
Being honest, I’ve seen them better. But I’d say I’ve seen them do a better Setlist than performance.
Who was that mark e smith type in the sweater on the side of the stage at PiL ?

Seemed his job was just swaying side to side, looked like he even had his own monitors and speakers haha canny gig mind
Rambo. John Lydon’s best mate from forever.
