Forthcoming gigs.

ELO experience next sat at the Empire -been tremendous each time I’ve seen them
Lots tickets left-which is sad to see …

After kubix dance festival I'm being dragged to clubland down Seaton carew, I'm tempted to do a John Darwin when I get there. I'd have been into it 25 years ago but I can't stand that music these days. Only going as I'm a good mate, hopefully there's plenty to look at to make up for the ear bashing I'm going to get.

Belle and Sebastian were really good in Cambridge last night - the final gig of their current tour. Even if you aren't a huge fan they always put on a good show.

Alcatraz House Band at Live Lounge 8.30 tonight, always put on a great show (covers like)
Did she do rock covers?

Last time I saw them was at Houghton Rugby Club a year or two back and they were massively disappointing. The band turned up with nowt but an acoustic guitar and cajun, and they did a load of pop covers.

Is Jen Cherenne still singing for them??
She is aye, but the band's totally different to what it used to be.

Airbourne we’re great Saturday night but , as we all know, weather in Manchester wasn’t.

Venues should hire out crackets so us littl’uns can stand on them at the back.

She has a great voice. Was in a band called Remedy a few years ago and thought they`d do pretty well but seemed to fold pretty quickly.

Aye she has.

If I remember correctly, the Alcatraz House Band used to do originals under a different name - I don't think it was Remedy though.

Did some digging - The Karma Heart.

We were never interested in any of that like. We just liked them doing Zeppelin and Rush covers.

That`s right she was in them too. I think Karma Heart may have come after Remedy.

GF wanted to go see Chappaqua Wrestling (i'd never heard of them) in November, playing in Manchester. Only £13 a ticket, small venue. Will have to give them a listen before I go

Not a gig as such….but Dave Haslam talk at Pop Recs tonight, promoting his new book and no doubt talking about Manchester, Keith Haring and everything in-between.

Forgot about it and just seen the reminder so will have a look down
