Forthcoming gigs.

I went to see Beyond The Black earlier this month too. They were great. just waiting for Nightwish and Within Temptation to announce tours now.
Wasn't that long since WT played but I've not seen Nightwish for a loooong time. How many singers have they gone through now?

I haven`t seen Nightwish since Anette Olsen was in them. That`s the only time. I think I`d travel to see them with Floor Jansen if they only played London. Floor is their third singer.
Within temptation were in Leeds November 2024.

Enjoyed Old Man and Ian Blacks new band at Pop Recs yesterday afternoon .
I was there too mate. Cracking gig. Both bands were excellent.

I only twigged after the gig that Old Man is the guys that used to be the Minotaurs. They were cracking as well.
A great one for you to start with! They were top notch, weren't they? Enjoyed Tyler Ballgame too!
Tyle Ballgame is fantastic. Album is out this week.

Went to The Glasshouse for the first time last night to see The Unthanks with the Royal Northern Sinfonia

They were superb and i loved the venue too
Was it the first or second room? Both are good for performances like, but the second is very intimate. The Fire Station beats room 1 purely cos it’s smaller.

The outside is a bit too clinical for me. Like an airport

It was stage one - so the bigger of the two.

Don't get me wrong, i much prefer smaller more intimate venues for my 'regular' gigs, but for this kind of performance this venue was excellent. I get the airport vibes, but it's got great views out over the city and the acoustics were brilliant. I can see why Mogwai are there next month.....can't make it as away on hols :(

It's an epic room for the right artist .
I like the Foyer ,its impressive. I just think their choice of who plays there is very miss more than hit .

They’ve never got the flow of the foyer right
Weather it’s bars cafes shops sitting areas etc

Tonight will be me 5th gig this year, got another 27 booked 😁. Hence I only put up on ere week by week. No doubt there'll be more , I've got a canny list of maybes as well. Live music can be so addictive, if im not at a gig im in town supporting local bands in various pubs.
Think I’ve got 4/5 booked, but even a couple if them are nearer talk ins than gigs. John Power & Baz Warne

Anyone else at Pop Recs last night? Thought Frankie Archer was fantastic, really impressed. I'd heard some of her stuff before and it felt a bit austere, but things were much livelier on stage. Will keep an eye out for future shows.
