Forthcoming gigs.

Think I’ll end up doing Jim Bob cos my mate loves him. I usually see Ian Prowse 2/3 times a year now, but nothing booked. He did say he’ll be coming to Sunderland this year. Waiting until the fixtures are out to decide if I can do the Christmas gig this year.
I can't not go to see Jim Bob when he tours as I loved Carter. His solo stuff is rather hit and miss for me.

I ended up seeing Prowsey six times last year after five the year before as a lot of his gigs are in the North West. I need to sort tickets for his Midsummer band show at Liverpool Philharmonic.

Hopefully we’ll get a record this year, but considering they’re still doing it makes me think we might not. I’m not sure what the turn around is between finishing & getting ur released.

I don't know the current vinyl lead in times after recording but it was about six months a couple of years ago and that is a big part of the revenue that a new album would create for him. I doubt that an album would be released without it coinciding with available vinyl.

A great one for you to start with! They were top notch, weren't they? Enjoyed Tyler Ballgame too!
Yeah, fantastic gig! He's an incredible performer - you can see he just loves every second of being out on stage. And a great set of musicians all round.

Epica and Amaranthe in Manchester tonight. Epica were...well, epic. "Interval" now.
Epica were absolutely stunning - Apparition was a visually brilliant opener, Sirens with Charlotte Wessels just brilliant but Simone Simons on 'Unleashed' and 'Tides Of Time' was just on another level. Saw them years ago upstairs at the O2 Academy in front of a handful of people. great to see them on a big stage with a huge production that their music deserves.

I was mainly there for Amaranthe but it was a great night all round! Mind, I was surprised how many people left after Epica.

I was there mainly for Epica but thought Amaranthe were a good addition to the bill. I almost saw them 4 years ago with beyond The Black but Elize was ill on the day and they cancelled which was disappointing as we`d travelled down to Manchester to see them (mainly for Beyond The Black) so I was pleased to finally see them. I did notice a lot of people heading out after a couple of songs. I did photos in the photo pit for the first three songs and when I was heading back to my seat loads of people were walking out.
For me Epica were the band of the night and I also love Charlotte Wessels but all three put on a good show.

I was at that gig, too! We decided to go anyway as we were on our way to Manchester when the email came through. We loved it, discovered Beyond the Black and the other support were great. We went to see BTB earlier this month in their own show.

I wasn't so bothered with Charlotte Wessels.

Public Service Broadcasting have announced a date in September at Ally Pally. Dates don't work for me, but know PSB have some fans here. Think they'll be doing the race for space in its full.

Picked up tickets for that this morning. No idea if I'll actually get there but I wanted to have the option! £65 incl (lots of) fees but not too bad in the grand scheme of things these days.

I went to see Beyond The Black earlier this month too. They were great. just waiting for Nightwish and Within Temptation to announce tours now.

R.E.M. cover band Stipe at the Cluny on Saturday next for me. Then the Cribs in March at the Boilershop. Then the Charlatans in April at the City Hall.
