The only thing I've ever heard about it is seeing a poster advertising last year in pop recs. I'll look into it this yearPeople travel to Sunderland for this. I've never been able to make it to one yet but I think the passes usually sell well as they are priced low. As it explains on the website funding wasn't secured this year and it looks like they are just using 3 venues. I think in previous years there's been stuff on in pubs too. Was chuffed when I saw Félicia Atkinson was on. I thought I'd have to travel far to see her. Her album "Space As An Instrument" released last year is great especially on headphones. Hearing that led to me buying quite a bit of her music. The Unit Ama are very good live band although they don't have an extensive catalogue. Saw them at Split Festival years ago. I also hope to catch Sly & The Family Drone too who I've not seen before but I have their album "Moon Is Doom Backwards" which I'd first read about on the Quietus website. The only other artist I know of those that have been announced is harpist Rhodri Davies. Saw him at the Glasshouse a few months ago supporting Richard Dawson and he was good. Will need to do some homework and check out the others. Really excited for this but I understand it's not going to appeal to a lot of people.
