I saw them at a small venue last year and they were decent. You must be logged on to see media items
Vistas at Independent. I must go.
Presales been open hours, doesn't look like it's selling very well. I'm hoping there'll be cheap filler tickets nearer the time.I'm on the presale notification.![]()
Exactly the same for me. I'm not paying that price like, I only want to see Cheap Trick.Presales been open hours, doesn't look like it's selling very well. I'm hoping there'll be cheap filler tickets nearer the time.
Aw I'd still watch Jorney like. Some reet bangers. It's not the proper band these days though.Exactly the same for me. I'm not paying that price like, I only want to see Cheap Trick.
Me too, disappointed it is all seater, not that I'm going to stage dive/crowd surf but just feel more natural standing near the front.Presales been open hours, doesn't look like it's selling very well. I'm hoping there'll be cheap filler tickets nearer the time.
Disappointing when they sacked Ross Valory and Steve Smith - lost some authenticity with them gone.Aw I'd still watch Jorney like. Some reet bangers. It's not the proper band these days though.
Cheap Trick at the Cavern Club in 2017 ( I think it was) was one of the best gigs I`ve ever been too. I think this may well be their last tour - I feared with all of the previous cancellations they wouldn`t come over so was well chuffed to see them on this bill.Me too, disappointed it is all seater, not that I'm going to stage dive/crowd surf but just feel more natural standing near the front.
I don't mind Journey but if Cheap Trick weren't playing wouldn't want to spend that much.
Also with CT members being so old you can't be sure they'd be OK to play in 6 months time.
Think I'll hang on for cheap tickets and then curse when I miss out completely.
Just seen Air are playing Piece Hall in Halifax in the June. Think I’ll dodge down to that one.
Need to get a ticket for Rakim in Manchester in May too.
Yeah I agree - may have been more tempted otherwise as the lad can sing.Disappointing when they sacked Ross Valory and Steve Smith - lost some authenticity with them gone.

Slow start to the year for us but finally getting moving next week with LJG. Some others on the books for the upcoming weeks/months
Laura Jane Grace (NYC)
Sleater-Kinney (NYC)
Adam Ant / The (English) BeatWhy not - never seen either and they're playing local NJ
Jesus Jones - another local NJ one, small bar in Asbury Pk
Katie Malco (NYC)
Decemberists (NYC)
Echo & the Bunnymen (Philly) - Songs to Learn and Sing tour
Miki Berenyi Trio / Lol Tolhurst and Budgie (NYC)
PJ Harvey (NYC)
Frank Turner - 4 nights in Toronto
@Cheesy Feet - Damned are touring with Rat and Paul Gray but bizarrely not playing in NYC / AP / Philly - thinking about going to see them in Chicago as it's a w/e when I could also squeeze in a Frank Turner show. Is it a "special" lineup that's worth making the trip for, given that it's not with Brian and we saw the Monty / Pinch lineup fairly recently when they played most of the stuff you'd want to hear.
You reckon it's a yes? Be a decent outlay with flights and board and tix went on sale a couple of ours ago, so would probs have to act fairly quick...but now you've gone and dangled the carrot of potential Brian action (though they didn't come over with that lineup last time), Ugh...The 1980 line up are playing Newcastle NX in December..got my ticket..i was at both London original line up gigs in 2022..the gig at Newcastle NX last Easter was fantastic..apparently Dave and Captain have been saying they’re in contact with Brian James about some more original line up shows but nothing has come of it yet.
Sleater Kinney will be good.Slow start to the year for us but finally getting moving next week with LJG. Some others on the books for the upcoming weeks/months

Oh, and Marc Maron standup, if that counts on here
yes, looking forward to SK - seen them two or three times since they got back together and they've been excellent. I like the new album - the last couple were a bit meh. The missus used to go and see them religiously first time around, playing to tiny crowds in NYC, and is a bit annoyed how they're a bit like an injured SAFC player, seeming to get hugely popular while they were awaySleater Kinney will be good.
Love the Beat, but not kean on Dave Wakeling. Seen Adam Ant, ok, be a canny night.
