So what is it that happens
after we go one up ?
after half time ?
Any thoughts ?
We go from confidently playing the ball about to ???
What goes wrong ?

Should have been two-up at least in the first half. Why couldn't we create any decent chances in the second half?

Not sure but we always get plenty of chances first half to kill a game off, it's been the recurring theme of the season.

A complete lack of killer instinct.

Call me a bellend but isn't their first offside?

There's the difference between success and failure summed up in that equalising goal! Power with a limp wrist up claiming offside with a little reaction skipping tossed in as to whether he should move his legs rather than dropping the few extra yards to straight away cover Flanagan. That being said, Oviedo was piss poor ignoring the run in behind hime which led to Flanagan being tempted over in the first place but Power was too busy looking for the flag rather than instantly dropping in!

A lot of people are blaming Ross but the players deserve just as much criticism. Look at the chance Power had to smash it home so early in the game for example! There's numerous examples of piss poor football but then again this is League One!

Agreed mate. Saturday is now huge as (1) we need to finish 4th and (2) we need some confidence

Not huge at all. To finish 4th or 5th (who play each other), we just have to lose or draw which is easy for us.

this is worse than last season. At least then we knew the club was being left to the dogs and relegation was inevitable quite early on - I never thought for a minute we would end up losing our bottle like we have done. The utter capitulation since winning those two games after the cup final has been dreadful. It's hard to see how we can drag our arses over the line - the players clearly don't believe in themselves.

I disagree mind mate. We could have easily lost the club in the summer, so we are moving in the right direction.

Confidence is looking a major issue mind and we need something to change. Whereas Charlton are finishing on a high, we appear to be stumbling! That said, that doesn’t mean we won’t be promoted

Would love (hate) to see the stats of our passing accuracy. Must have been 50% of our passes that went either straight out of play, or straight to the opposition, or at best practically impossible for the recipient to get. The CBs just lumping, not only blindly , but actually just kicking it straight out of play when under no pressure. Then all the little attempts at flicks and through balls that go absolutely no where near where they were intended. Crosses that just float into the keepers arms practically every time. Its incredibly difficult to watch. And then other times when they do play it into feet its either slightly behind or to the side of the recipient, or blasted at them 100 mph. Or played in at chest height instead of on the deck. Not sure how the coaches can stop this. I'd start fining players if they hit it long aimlessly when they have a simple option available
He'll defend them. He doesn't rip them a new one enough.

Oviedo was at fault for Peterborough's equaliser as well. Half arsed defending.

We could have scored 4 goals first half tonight. Power and Grigg missed gilt edged chances and Grigg hit the bar.

The Pompey result was just what we needed but we completely blew it 2nd half with a pitiful display, partly down to the manager and partly the players.

It’s been like that all season mate. We simply don’t convert enough chances. Let’s see what Saturday brings, but the players, staff and fans need to be ready for Charlton.

I’m not his biggest fan

Sick to death of watching Ross’ shit football. There’s absolutely nothing to suggest that we’d improve next season if he’s given more time.

McGeady will go. Catts and Oviedo will be sold. Then we’ll have no quality to score to drag us to 1-1s and we’ll start losing more. Only good thing that’s happened is I can’t hear “we’ve only lost twice all season” anymore. What a pathetic argument that was

That's what I said later in post as he was piss poor. Most goals are from a knock-on effect and if the last man who could have possibly done something to stop a shot doesn't do owt at all, (Power in my opinion) then it's down to the keeper to save it.

Ross talks well, but he has a lot to answer for regarding our capitulation in the last six games.
Jack Ross out. Clueless manager with the best budget, stadium and arguably players this division has seen in a long time. Blokes not good enough to turn draws into wins, leading into going further ahead. We'll not go up through the play offs.

We haven’t got the best players. We have a couple of the better players.

There’s no physical presence in midfield or at centre half and a severe lack of pace. These are two very simple reasons we cannot control games for 90 minutes; technical ability is only half the battle.

I think Ross deserves another crack if we don’t make it through the play-offs, but he has to get recruitment right early on. I find it bizarre he didn’t try and address the aforementioned problems in the winter window.

Remember where we were blah de blah

12 months ago blah de blah

This is embarrassing and failure, no matter how hard the happyclappers and "some sopping minges on here" brigade try to tart it up.

Let me guess "we can still win the playoffs" fuck off man.
Happyclappers, fukin hell if they caught there lass in the bedroom getting shagged they would go down and make them a cup of tea for when they finished.

My only thought is the mags have had a say via Joey Barton in our season. They'll be unbearable.

The Posrtmouth game went our way as well, making it more annoying.

I'm not looking forward to the play-offs with our form the way it is.
