Maybe, all I would say is about the keepers is that they all judged on their batting average which people should think it should be 40

it shouldnt, not sure what that is based on, very very few keepers in test history have done that, batting at 7 doesn't allow you that opportunity

keep well and average close to 34/35 is absolutely superb and would do me

Are people expecting Buttler/Bairstow top be scoring loads of 100s from 7? I hope not

The game really doesn't help itself does it? If the outfield was wet, then just call lunch at midday. Come back out at 1240 and play. These lads will be raring to go and I'm sure 2 long sessions isn't going to kill anyone. OR be totally radical and just play for 2 hours with a break of 30 mins and repeat until it's dark??

No not at all. Best keeper/batsman

I saw him a lot last year and he was terrible, maybe its a blip but he needs a recall

Never seen a player get so much praise for so little.

Bairstow and Buttler both suffered from the turmoil of the top order, Bairstow batted 3,4,5,6,7 in 1 year ffs :lol:

Whoever we pick no will benefit from having 6 genuine batsman ahead of him
 
Fuck's sake man. 2pm start? Why do we have to have so much hanging around?? Toss then start. Why does it need half an hour? They've been hanging around all day FFS

He was man of the series in his debut series. How is that so little?

All our batters were crap in the windies and he was the fall guy.

Wasn't a fall guy for anything

Buttler and Bairstow are more talented players, he played as JB was injured

He is quality on spinning pitches

he then averaged virtually the same as them 2 but in couty cricket, he had a really bad year

sure he will get ago at some time like but dont blame selectors, there were better options

Can't believe how harsh peope are

they played atest match like less than a week after the world cup final and peope were absolutely slating them for nicking off

each to their own
