First cricket match I remember watching

Much better atmosphere down there (and other small grounds like Gateshead Fell, Darlo etc.), loved it down there, despite getting kicked out for taking the piss out of a Yorkshire fielder (can I f**k remember his name) for looking like Jason Donovan. About a dozen of us of singing Any Dream Will Do at him, whilst waving our arms. He took it well, stewards/police didn't.
Was the Yorkshire fielder Craig White 🤔

I think the first biggish game I watched in the flesh was one of the Callers Pegasus internationals at Jesmond. Got the tickets through school. Watched me da in the NEDL a few times before that. First TV game probably a test match with Richie Benaud.

I went to at least two of those, possibly 90 and 91.

Random memory is Neil Fairbrother taking a beer off a bloke in the crowd while fielding on the cover boundary. Around 20 minutes later, a round of drinks appeared for the bloke and his mates, paid for by Fairbrother. Good days out.
