Comments sections already pissing and moaning, use of cardboard cut outs instead of whatever the fcuk they think fenwicks should have done.

It did used to be more spectacular in the past with moving models and and more elaborate stuff. The cardboard cut-outs are good but I think people are just harking back to past times.

I remember in the early 80s a few of us youngsters being taken up there on the train like it was Lightwater Valley

Waiting in a huge queue snaking up right up Northumberland Street in the freezing cold. Then having our tiny minds blown away by animatronic puppets of elves and suchlike for a few precious minutes. Truly amazing at the time

You can’t replace that kind of experience with oversized cutouts from a book
