Well done mate.good on yeI just legged it back to the ground to get an ambulance - they’re on the scene now
Didn’t look good - he’s hit his head and they’re doing CPR
Hope he pulls through.

Update-I was at the match with the fella concerned(from East Rainton) but we separated after the game.Another mate who was with him has just rung me from the hospital to say he is in the High Dependency Unit and is conscious so fingers crossed. His life was probably saved by MackemMagic’s lass.Thank her so much and it would be appreciated if you can pass her details on to him to thank her himself. Our lass was giving him CPR, police brought the defib and ambulance arrived
You took action, mate. Many wouldn't. You're not craving kudos, but (in my opinion) your actions are worthy of respect.Don’t think I can take any kudos for it - I was a bit surprised when I got to the ambulance and the paramedic said “it’s just been radioed in” then he nashed off somewhere else.
Bit confused as to why the ambulance (that was outside the south east corner at that time) didn’t put his blue lights on and go straight up, with the direction of the crowd, when it was radioed in. Not sure about procedure for these kind of things but he was literally 100 yards away at the time.
When I got back the police arrived and then a minute later a paramedic in an SUV thing turned up.
Hope to god he’s okay like.

Much appreciatedThat’s really positive news mate, fingers crossed for a full recovery!
I’ll PM you
Full marks to your wife, marra. Seems like she's played a blinder there. You know, sometimes this place reflects the worst of us, but other times, like this, it shows the very best of us. Every club has its share of fools (myself included) but I believe the majority of our fans are magnificent, most of the time! That’s really positive news mate, fingers crossed for a full recovery!
