NK are looking for a relaxing of the many trade embargoes against them and this their way around it.
China is the main player in all this and they want and need the status quo to remain in place and so it will.
Trump is an unadulterated loony so his utterances are not worth zip.

Maybe he is just trying out a faster delivery service. Order something at the click of a button have it delivered to your garden strapped to a harmless bio-friendly missile. What's not to like about his business plan?
