F1 2026

Enjoyed George Russell having a tantrum at his car breaking down. He really does come across as the epitome of a sneering public schoolboy who expects everything to just go his way, and is apoplectic when it doesn't.
Man watching his probably once in a lifetime world championship chance go up in smoke while his closest rival in the same car races off into the sunset is mad? How dare he be upset at his over a decade of dedication and hard work going to waste through no fault of his own.

I like Russell, he's outspoken on the radio, very articulate, self-depreciating humour, sharp dresser, stands up to people like the aggressive bully Verstappen, he was elected director of the drivers association for a reason.

The entire grid besides Hamilton and Ocon are from wealthy families, at least Russell isn't a nepo baby like Antonelli.

Only ever trolling Horner and running up his buy-in price!
does toto still have his fingers in the Aston martin road car company? presumed that was a personal thing rather than an official Mercedes entanglement. i seem to recall he sold part of his stake in the Mercedes team to someone anarl, at quite an inflated price which is ironic if that's why they're back out of alpine.

Monaco Grand Prix

5th, 6th & 7th June

Friday FP1 - 12.30pm
Friday FP2 - 4pm
Saturday FP3 - 11.30am
Saturday Qualifying - 3pm
Sunday Race - 2pm
Love Monaco. I mean yeah the race is rarely very good and it’s all about qually.

However, it’s nice to see all the beautiful people and the boats.

I’m going for a Ferrari win. And perhaps a 1, 2. Lewis on the top step, Charles P 2, Lando P3.

That guarantees all of them will hit the barrier and retire!

As the cars are smaller this year, and better able to follow each others' wake, I'm hoping for a slight improvement. Obviously, it's never going to be a slugfest.

@errant just seen that they've quietly swapped out rag n bone man for James Arthur on their promo stuff. I'm glad I'm going to the darts that night now.
i hadnt to be honest, although last time i was too knackered for the sunday night headliner & headed off back to the tent for some chilled out beers... lewis & roscoe were most people headliners anyway!

i'm far more concerned that if England win their group, as i understand it they'll be playing their round of 16 knock-out match at 1am on the Sunday Night\Monday morning... i'll be (a) far too tired to stay up till that time, (b) i need to be up early to pack up the tent and get out & on the motorway back home.

if england are their group runners up, their round of 32 match might be at midnight on the friday night\saturday which will make it a long tiring weekend for me! :-(

I have high hopes for this Monaco GP.

Why? I hope it’s going to be a bit different this year. Here’s why I’m hopeful.

1. Mercedes engine advantage will not be as strong at Monaco, less straights, cars not at full power as much.

2. Lots of corners so recharging batteries will happen easier.

3. Qually should allow the cars to run fully on the limit.

4. The characteristics will suit Ferrari’s car as they are strong in slow and medium turns.

Bring it on!

Is this back to the 90s x-wing type Monaco aero tweaks? The detail on the merc & red bull rear wing mech? One assumes there's a loop hole to stick a mini wing flap in there.
