suspect county durhams favorite hermaphrodite will post this at some point, but the 2023 race week timetable is out... only worth a mention because it confirms the vegas weekend schedule of the race being on thursday > saturday locally... from this forums point of view (uk dwellers), that vegas race will start 6am local time on the sunday here (10PM Saturday in vegas). will be odd getting up so early as im used to the far east races being in daylight, whereas this will be a full on desert night race. the suzaka race for comparison will start 5am GMT (which makes it a 6am BST start if i'm right?).

Hmmm….time will tell. I would have preferred Gehard Berger in the same way we all want Kevin Phillips as Sunderland manager. He knows the team inside out. Knows how it ticks. He’s driven for the Scuderia. But he does know Charles Leclerc. Maybe he can get the best out of him and perhaps Carlos Sainz. He’s unproven and untested at top level but I hope Ferrari have unearthed a future talent.

The F1 team produces the marketing content TO the Merc Corporation though?
And the F1 team makes a huge profit, so the HQ doesn't actually provide any funding as such.

The team was a British team to start with, based out of England with almost all British staff working in the British factory
The engine was a British company that they bought out, which is based out of England.
The team is ran by an Austrian after originally being ran by a Austrian, German, British trio
Both drivers are British

If you hide the badge, you'd have no idea it was "German".

I find it a little hard to accept Torro Rosso / AlphaTauri are Italian, but at least their factory is in Italy.

The Merc situation is like buying big ben, and they claiming its German now.

its not like merc don't have a motorsport history though, a very germanic history at that. the motorsport vehicles at the mercedes museum in stuttgart doesnt start in 2010.

a hill i'll die on... :lol: if we're splitting hairs that mercedes are english (that tyrell heritage), we can definitely say that red bull are really a scottish racing team & the mclaren outfit flies the new zealand flag.
