I’m torn. I want closer more exciting racing but Formula 1 🏎 is always about the constructors and making the quickest reliable car but this is like formula ford or something

There always is. People will find plenty by next summer.
Brawn himself said these regulations aren't perfect and will need ongoing tweaks, they're just a massive step in the right direction. Looking forward to the closer racing in the mean time.

Almost a shame they just didn't go full ground effect.
Surely it’s a mistake bringing them in at the same time as the spending cap though. Should be spending cap 2020 or 2021 then the new regs a year after.
As it is at the minute the bigger teams will have unlimited resource to design the new cars while not being hit by the spending cap. I thought the whole point was to bunch the field up. Initially at least this will do the opposite

The spending cap only applies to specific areas. If you have a company that develops road cars and F1 cars then I expect they’ll move the costs around

Gasly taking the piss out of track limits. This needs sorting. A white line, and if your entire car is over it, you lose the lap (or 3 strikes and a pen in the race).
