Mint. Couldn't get much better than that really. Fuck f1 let's have a group b rally thread...

My lass loves it. I don't mind the odd race but the rules seem to favour the sides with the money. I think if I went to a race I might enjoy it and start getting into it.

What sport doesn't though? The teams or countries who put the most money into a sport usually win. If this season is going to be all about the engine, then that probably won't favour the big money teams as much, as getting new aero parts every race won't be as big of a factor.

Red Bull look quite a bit better than everyone expected. At least going off the times this morning.

Bellof was an awesome driver - would have been one of the best but sadly died at Spa racing a Porsche 956 in '85 I think.
I know ray bellm. He was there when it happend. Mental hearing him talk about it over lunch.

Manufacturers now are pulling away from records like that. Failing means death. Not good pr

It's hardly surprising like - 6'11 round the Nurburgring is beyond the capability of most cars even today!

He had a F1 GTR didn't he?

Yes. He raced it at Le Mans. Was fourth iirc. He also runs the f1 owners club

Mclaren haven't released the p1 time as they do not want to be part of an arms race. Would only end in tragedy. The p1 was sub 7

Yeah I read that they'd timed it and didn't want to release the times - rumour was it wasn't as quick as the 918 but that's always the rumour when things don't get released

Loved hearing Gordon Murray talking about developing the F1 for racing. The F1 team gave him a day in the wind tunnel to test the aero kit and then sent him on his merry way. They won first time out at Le Mans

Is it faster than the xxx then?!
I'm sure the p 1 is faster than the 918. The latter is very heavy[DOUBLEPOST=1394832796][/DOUBLEPOST]I know of an owner that cancelled his 918 order because of the exhaust noise ( it's head height). Can't see porsche selling them all tbh
