senna that day was a man a class apart from an entire field, streets ahead of a 3 time world champion and a driver who went on to win 7 - he all but lapped the entire field and had hill insight as the checkered flag approached. the mclaren that day was easily an inferior car by a country mile to the Williams, and with a customer ford engine which wasn't on a par with the Benetton.
i don't disagree that button's was one of the best drives in a generation, but senna's drive that day is one of the reason he is revered to this day, and that isnt something you can say about button...
