Then expect things to get worse, we are no better off than we were last season.
To be fair, there was always a chance that could have happened. Turns out though that a lot of negative assumptions were wrong.
Le Bris isn’t a know nowt ingenue with his head up Speakman’s backside. He has developed a system that gets the best out of the squad and is exciting to watch.
We aren’t a one man show. ( well not on today’s showing)
Getting Rigg and Jobe on long term deals was nearly as important as making new signings.
Browne isn’t shit because he came on a free.
Mayenda has got something about him.
O Nien can play Centre half really quite well.
Last seasons shit show increasingly seems to have been due to lack lustre coaching rather than lack of talent.
The leadership are accountable for last season’s dross.
Maybe the leadership can learn from last season’s experience….
Optimism isn’t always naive
And optimists aren’t cucks as one charming poster suggested earlier today.( well not all of them)

For now
We aren’t a one man show. ( well not on today’s showing)
We're yet to concede a goal this campaign and on that basis were really are going to win the league, or this is what's called in gambling a hot hand and the clappers have convinced themselves it can never end the good times. Most of the anger, resentment and hatred towards what are deemed the negative fans is risible, come the less good times.

Last seasons shit show was the reverse of this one i.e. confidence breeds confidence and for now were full of it. When we hit peak over confidence and reality bites the younger players will suddenly look around for something to lean upon and a team of young players turn from a team to a gaggle of individuals.

True, but that leadership is still in charge !

I'm enjoying the moment but unlike many, I am simply sanguine enough to accept the world isn't pixies, sugary treats and unicorns. My trust for our leadership is sub zero and come January and were 10 points clear I will enjoy the show, but still believe this lot are wrong for the club and will lead us into the abyss someday.
