Just checked and it does go down as a Covid death if its mentioned on the death certificate.

Where are you getting that from ?

I’m reading england.nhs.uk and it states the following:

deaths of patients who have died in hospitals in England and had either tested positive for COVID-19 or where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate. All deaths are recorded against the date of death rather than the date the deaths were announced.
