Which is why all of the big clubs play their bairns until the semi final.
It’s below the league, the FA Cup and yes, all European competitions.
The Conference League is effectively a replacement third competition of the Cup Winners’ Cup which was also introduced in 1960 - the only one we’ve ever competed in. If you were around, were you happy to compete in that third tier competition?

Well no, you got into the Cup Winner's Cup by WINNING the main cup in your country. Not for finishing in 7th f***ing place.

and it was very much a third tier competition. We were a second tier club, they aren’t allowed in the Conference League. Millwall got battered in the final and played in the UEFA Cup. I presume you deem that as higher rate than The Conference League?

Let's not pretend it's something it isn't. The Conference League was set up so TV companies can rake in more cash through advertisement revenue etc etc and it holds absolutely zero prestige. It's shit. If people want to get excited about qualifying for this tripe, that's fine. Personally I think it's a nonsense trophy.
