Europa or Conference League


Prefer Europa

Bigger teams = Bigger stadiums (Hopefully) which in turn means a bigger away allocation.

Passport is at the ready aslong as my 3 BCP is enough 🧐😆

When will we be ready? Strike while the iron is hot. This is a unique season where 8th gets Europe, that might not happen next year, Spurs and Chelsea might recover strongly, the Saudis will spend big again.

I'm not saying it's now or never, but the last time was 1973 so that should give you some idea of how hard it is to do.

Aye the Europa is straight into League phase starting September 16th or 17th.

For the Conference, it would be 2 legged play-off qualifier on 20th & 27th August.

There seems to be a weird assumption on here that we’ll build and get stronger each year.

Every other team gets the same TV cash as us - there’s an equal chance we’ll get worse than better, relative to other clubs.

100%, there’s no guarentee that the likes of spurs or the mags will be equally as shite next year, then all the other middle table teams may well improve measurably as well.
I doubt we will be in relegation trouble next year with two established prem teams dropping this year so we should be safe from the drop but never any guarentee and may well be another god knows how many years before we are on the brink of any euro comp again.the idea of anyone looking down on any form of euro comp just blows my mind if I’m honest
 
Was checking the final venues for both competitions next season. IF and it’s a big if we qualify and do well the Europa final is in Frankfurt and the Conference final is in Istanbul.

I see that the Conference could be at the new stadium in Ankara. Searching it seems to be Aug/Sep this year that it will be completed but there's applications and inspections to also happen before it would be decided.

Application for the first UEFA final organization in Ankara

In addition, as a result of the consultations held by Turkish Football Federation with the relevant stakeholders, it was decided to apply to UEFA after EURO 2024 for Yeni Ankara Stadium, which is under construction to host 2027 UEFA Europa Conference League Final. If UEFA approves, 2027 UEFA Europa Conference League Final will be held at Yeni Ankara Stadium. Thus, if the processes are completed, the capital Ankara will host a UEFA final organization for the first time in history.

If the processes related to Yeni Ankara Stadium are not completed, 2027 UEFA Europa Conference League Final will be played at Beşiktaş Park as planned.

I think i wouldn't be out of line, by saying simply, we have been down this road before twice, in recently history, and we didn't take it, and look what it got us, so for once, lets f***ing reach out, and take it with both hands, because in truth, it may change everything for the better, in the longer term, if the last decade has taught us all one thing, you can't pick and choose, when a chance like this, opens itself up, you just got to jump in with both feet, and work the rest out later. 🔴⚪
 
If you told me after the playoff final we’ll be going into the last game of the season with something to fight for the only possible outcome I’d have considered was survival.

Tremendous season regardless of what happens over the next week.
