Just an update.
After 3 days they've finally looked at it and they've said it's this
Starter (engine) - Wikipedia
€300 to repair.
Could that have been caused by the timing belt replacement or just pure coincidence and bad luck? Cheers

Not directly affected by the timing belt and most likely coincidence.
The only other explanation is that they’ve taken it off when doing the timing belt and possibly disturbed it. But you’d never prove that.
