He's proved a couple of times he can bowl match winning spells, he has been anything but consistent at test level though. Can't criticise him at ODI level, he's very good and has the best variations, at test level he's got work to do.

He wasn't missed in the last Ashes series to be fair.

one dimensional versus multi talented bowler...I agree its a pointless thread

One with 215 test wickets at an average of 30 versus one with 99 test wickets at an average of 36. Anderson has played a few more tests granted but to match his wicket tally Broad would have to take 116 wickets in 20 tests, he doesn't look like doing it.
 
Finally Broad has a wicket.. Thought it wasn't going to happen.
 
Why did they finish at 7 last night with 7 overs unbowled? I thought you were always allowed half an hour on top of the extra hour to make up Thursday's lost time to finish them off. Or have the playing regs changed again?

6.30 was the scheduled finish time not 7. They played an extra half an hour to make up some of Thursday's lost time. They'll make up for the 7 overs tonight if possible.
