England vs India (fourth test) The Oval

I'd also put in the mix that very few of our batsmen have the mental capacity to dig in and to wait until they get a bad ball, we collapse far far to often.
Yeah agree with that, it’s very poor. It just frustrates me when the ‘bottled it’ style comments come out, same on the football forum, I just think it’s an easy thing to say sometimes. 9 times out of 10 it’s just our ability or lack of it than gets us into trouble rather than us not fancying it or not digging in. Even today most of the batsman played the right shot but just poor execution.

Nowt will change if they draw the series.

I don't think anything dramatic would (or even could, given our lack of depth) change if we lose 3-1 either.

I get it's frustrating today but I certainly can't wish a loss on my team for no apparent reason. Each to their own.

Draw 2-2 and get humped 4 or 5 nowt again off Australia. Get in.

My team's Durham, England always a bit too associated with FTECB to be relatable.

So what is going to change if we lose 3-1?

We are going to get humped in Australia regardless. If you go into games wanting England to lose, then you've lost the joy of watching cricket.

Indeed, 2-2 would give the players something to build on mentally considering our selection and injury woes (and the glaring technical weaknesses of some of our squad). Contrast that with India who have had the luxury of an almost a full strength squad - to the extent the best spinner in the world is only in the ground for the free lunch. It's been a fairly even contest, on pitches that haven't favoured one side more than the other really. Same can't be said for the last India tour...
