England vs India (fourth test) The Oval

Roy, Lawrence, Livingston?
Roy done nothing to suggest he would be successful there, Lawrence far from convincing in the chances he’s had (not saying he won’t be but he’s hardly banging on the door) Livingstone I am fully behind for white ball stuff but his first class record is nothing amazing.

Digging at Stokes is pretty poor imho.

Bairstow has looked handy this series but has a top score of 57. To go with Buttler best at 25.

I’ll repeat what I’ve always said, fine to play one of them. At 7. But neither bats higher than that

btw standard thing has happened here

England collapse and the SMB focus on the number 6 and 7s

I don’t get if

Simply not good enough from England. Not saying they should have won, but capitulating like this just isn’t close to good enough.

Fun fact: both Bairstow and Buttler now both average just a smidge above Tim Paine. No one would argue that Paine is a specialist bat (recognising batting in England is generally tougher and all that)

why do you always focus on our number 7

how is this the issue after every defeat?

Its weird mate
