England v West Indies 3rd Test - Edgbaston

Meh don’t think you can praise Duckett one game playing that way then overly criticise when he gets out the next. He as arguably there to hit as well, just didn’t execute the shot properly.

I also don’t understand why Wood was sent in if he wasn’t going to have a go? Not exactly someone renowned for their defensive acumen.

2 horrific shots by the openers Crawley was bad and with him you half expected and Ducketts was worse you can just bat one way all the time and be successful.

See what the middle order can do tomorrow.

I think at times when the batting has perhaps been too aggressive and put us on the back foot.

It would be good to remember the numerous games where they aggressive style has won us games that historically would have been certain draws in the past.

First test in Pakistan for sure and a few in 2022 would have been certain draws that this teams aggressive approach has meant wins and others as well

Guess we all want a perfect situation and criticism is due of this team at times like today, but we have won more than we lost with this approach for sure.

And definitely more then the previous regime with a more restrictive approach.

But of course we all want the balance right and the team to play the situation better
