That sounded like there was two noises there. Clearly shown there wasn't so it was plumb.

Going at over 5 an over in this session.

There's no doubt watching England bat is much more entertaining when Trott doesn't hold up and end all day, but I cant see us getting as many runs on the board unless these two stick around for a while tomorrow.

enjoyable days cricket, which opaper looks about evens.

still, id have taken this total for 6 considering we were put in and got off to a very poor start.

very good work again from cook (should have had the ton) and the sri lankans have allowed prior to go like a train in the last hour or so (why bowl wide to him?) as they lost a grip on the game.

hopefully get to 450 tomorrow and then get at them.

sounded like that to me and looked to me like the ball ever so slightly changed direction, didnt show show on hotspot but that doesnt mean it definitely didnt.

depends. i quite like watching a batsmen grinding the opoosition down. its been criminal the way the sri lankans have bowled in the last session.

I'd much rather see Prior and Bell smashing a drive through the covers every couple of overs than watch Trott block 5 then take a single.

thats his job though, to stay in and, if needed, to see off the new un. (didnt do it too well today like).

priors basically throws the bat at anything wide. if the sri lankans tied him up a bit he'd be ineffective.

out of them all its bell i like to watch.

Bell is a cracking player to watch. I also like watching Cook bat when he is playing like he was this afternoon. Some of the shots Morgan has plays today have been very good too, even if it's more like watching a one-day innings most of the time.

Missed parts of the last sessions because I kept dozing off

Prior, Broad and Morgan are always going to score at a fair lick.

so whats everyones thoughts for tomorrow?

i reckon a score of 450 is definitely within englands grasps and then hopefully nick a couple early with the new ball and the sri lankans will be under pressure.

cant see them collapsing again like in cardiff like.

looking forward to seeing how we go without a swing option.

450 would be a good score considering how the Sri Lankans crumbled in Cardiff

Scoring quickly here like.
