If it is time for a change, and maybe it is given his comments about going to Oz, I’d go Bairstow at 7 (or 6 in this team) and Pope at 5

He’s the best keeper out of the three mentioned but not the best with the bat

if buttler is dropped he should be dropped for an all rounder or a middle and put Jonny into the glove man position.

I did the analysis earlier on in the year of all keepers in recent years mate. He was very near the bottom

Pope seems the only realistic option tbh with Jonny taking the gloves, but again he’s been injured for a good while, not played much cricket, and hardly did any better than Jos when given his shot either. The cupboards very empty is the reality.

If we're picking a keeper for his wicket keeping abilities it should be Foakes or Cox in the team. If it's for their batting, it should be Bairstow. Butter is a batting wicket keeper who can't score runs and hence should be dropped.
