England v India (Third Test) Headingley

What’s the minimum score we need to be in charge?

and be realistic

can’t see malan getting many after no cricket for example

200?

Always liked Overton and you are right he should have been selected before Curran. Well done to Curran today tho.

aye ive been with you on Overton for a while mate

I think he has improved a lot since he played in the ashes in 2019

my own view is he will play in Australia too
Yeah 250 and we win the game. Selection of Overton and Curran might work well with the bat if they can chip in with a 25/30.

Pitch isn’t a minefield like

our lack of tail runs has been a major major reason for our poor form

just a few partnerships in a game like this would win the game

Will our openers get to
A) 45 overs unbroken
B) 45 runs unbroken
C) 45 balls unbroken
D) 4.5 overs unbroken
E) 4.5 balls unbroken

Think E is 50/50
250 needed, 350 would win us the game barring a superb 2nd innings from the Indian batsman

Broad makes a point on twitter, the batting gets easier at Headingley on days 2/3 and 4.

Nowt daft, no complacency and grind the bastards down. I’ll accept nowt less than 450
Indian fans on Reddit and the like complaining about the pitch, it doesn't seem particularly exceptional?

‘tacky’ is how it was described this morning - wasn’t a bad toss to lose
