England v India - Third Test, 10/07

Yeah telling somebody to ‘ give their head a shake’ for suggesting a player is picked for their country because of ECB clique is exactly the same as calling someone a ‘ f***ing thick **** ‘ for simply making a fair point.
Neither are acceptable. ECB as an entity have nothing to do with the selection but the clique reference was hinting that current selection of persisting with failing players appears to suggest a degree of favouritism -whether that is so is irrelevant -it's simply an opinion. "Giving your head a shake" and f***ing thick **** " are synonyms -they're both suggesting a lack of mental capacity in the poster.
There are optimists and pessimists in every walk of life -so be it.
Of course mate, that’s a good point however

In my humble opinion mate, they is a percentage of posters the majority who genuinely get frustrated when things happen like in our innings, which of course is very understandable

But there is also a small minority who can’t wait to get into the team they supposed to support the moment things don’t go well and are constantly looking for negatives over any positives
Reality is somewhere in between :)

Class that . Quite like this India team me.

He's got a point tbf. We've see another monumental flounce this test with posters acting like 6yo kids yet not one of the clique on here dare call it out and one particular poster using the term 'forum royalty' FFS. Cricket forum is dripping with posters who are absolute poison
It's awful, isn't it.

Yes, but when you use it in a derogatory sense it's a bit concerning. Posters express conflicting views. Puzzles me why some get so upset and resort to insults about views which they don't agree with.

I was doing it tongue in cheek as I’m very much a DWF when it comes to football match threads, and go on the way some went on before we’d bowled a ball in the 2nd innings😂

I am acutely aware of how I’m very positive when it comes to the cricket and very negative when it comes to the footy.

Human nature I suppose.

All 30000 tickets snapped up for tomorrow so should make a great atmosphere. Spicy on the field which further adds to the tension. But concerned about Stokes- he's clearly playing through the pain barrier. Could knacker himself for the remainder of the series as he'll be giving it all bowling tomorrow.

I was ripping the piss out the royalty patter. Lifting

Edit. I am aware by agreeing with you it'll be called a pile on :(

Sometimes the rey making comments like only he understands the "nuances" of cricket on here could bug me.
But then I realise people spouting propaganda for the like of trump and Putin are far worse.
Don't sweat the small stuff, the threads here are sweet compared to the match threads on pure football 🤣
If someone is really getting under your skin then block.

Rather you didn't block me though, I enjoy your posts here, I even enjoy the posts of the SOGBC (Sons of Geoffrey boycott club) 😉
.
.
Note to the above, tomorrow is why we love test cricket.
1) we dismantle them in 20 overs
2) they win without another wicket lost
3) they are 9 wickets down with 10 runs to win.

Haway the thriller
