England v India - Third Test, 10/07

I missed the interview

Well they have the ammunition now

Still think India will win it it’s pleasing to see the fight

I think we’re we’re at least fifty shy and dropping Rahul may be the key

I hope in test 4 we come out of bowling with this aggression and possibly Atkinson could add to that over Woakes

If you had watched the 61 overs of Englands batting a wet fanny was the last thing that comes to mind

It’s fair to call that out as it’s fair to praise them for the bowling to date

I did watch it mate. It’s exactly the same type of batting that’s won us loads of tests. The pitch looks completely different to the first 3 days, so it’s always a good idea to see how the other team do on it.

We were 87-4. They’re 58-4, on a bowler friendly pitch.

Cricket is supposed to be entertaining. Not 90 overs of Boycottball
Not what I was aiming at all

There is a time and place

For a start brook. He hits three fours and a six , it’s ten mins prior to lunch , is it not reasonable to ask him to batten down as number 1 in the world , then continue post lunch ?

Then there’s stokes and root both getting out to shotgun barrel spin sweeping

They are hugely talented players and they played rank shots

Do you think after brook had 3 4s and a six ten mins prior to lunch he could bat for the afternoon session and not get bowled sweeping a fast bowler around his legs ?

Then root and stokes get out sweeping to bang straight spin

Those three dismissals were hideous

I mean any need whatsoever and somebody likes it as well.

He made a decent enough point and gets a reply like that.

Getting toxic in here mind at times just no need

@Parkside the moment you think I may even slightly insult someone you straight in???
Nothing personal old chap! I'd criticise any poster who posts personal insults -it's wholly unnecessary. Clearly you don't realise that some of your posts can be viewed as toxic yet you feel you have the right to take the moral high ground! It's a game of cricket -absolutely no need to post personal insults.
There's possibly a good finish to this match -that should be the sole focus.

Yeah telling somebody to ‘ give their head a shake’ for suggesting a player is picked for their country because of ECB clique is exactly the same as calling someone a ‘ f***ing thick **** ‘ for simply making a fair point.

He could’ve easily got out playing those 3 4s though. People have to realise that a lot of the time, the cricket that gets us the good scores is the same cricket that looks horrible when it goes wrong.

If they could just do the good shots and none of the bad ones, they’d be unplayable. You can get 10 right, it only takes 1 to go wrong.

See my above post

You are right , I maybe right as well

I need a rest. I think it’s fair that we both want England to win

Well what a day that was. The best and worst of England right there. As easy as it is to be pissed off with them, and as frustrating as they are, they make it so hard not to love them too. Irresistible when their backs are to the wall. A lot of seriously hard work to do tomorrow, but they need to target 4 more wickets and the game is ours.
It’s another one of many fantastic days cricket coming up that this regime produces time and time again.

This team continues to be a brilliant watch

Even though apparently’ they don’t play properly’ ;)

They are a good watch and always make it interesting. At least we're not turning down chasing 270 or whatever it was before. But they still don't seem to be able to manage situations at certain key moments in the match on the batting side, and people are going to get frustrated when the same things happen over and over

Like many I'd given it up that we would win or even hold out for a draw, but now we have a great chance.

That's why test cricket is still the best form of cricket.

Of course mate, that’s a good point however

In my humble opinion mate, they is a percentage of posters the majority who genuinely get frustrated when things happen like in our innings, which of course is very understandable

But there is also a small minority who can’t wait to get into the team they supposed to support the moment things don’t go well and are constantly looking for negatives over any positives
