England v India - Third Test, 10/07

Throw the Oval performance away though, because the urn had gone. In matches that mattered we lost 2-1. Aye, the rain saved Australia at Old Trafford, but if you allow yourselves to fall behind 2-0 in a five game series in England, you run the risk of running out of time, so to speak.

When I put it to you that we have the number 1 and 2 batsman in the world you disappeared. Oddly.
Overall like I said at the time?

one of their spinners took 3 big wickets can you see that happening with ours?

They really give off the impression that they don't. I'm sure it's not completely accurate, but the media comments, laughing on the balcony and utterly average cricketers in shit form bring undroppable makes you question it. I think there's an arrogance to it all tbh.
Yeah. I’m sure they do. But they didn’t fight for a draw last week, and this feels half arsed

Don't think this has been through a lack of effort from England... It's more India have been better in departments. but it wouldn't suprise me if Joffra took 8-60

Even i dont doubt that they care. We all know how deeply Stokes cares, at least.

But I think they've just swallowed too much of the "it is what it is, it's only a bit of cricket" kookaid, and it comes across as either hideously arrogant or unforgivably blasé.

The comments about being entertainers, not playing for draws etc, I think they actually believe it and they are in too deep to step back now - or it's just an arrogance that this is their way and the only way. Saw some interesting comments on from Andy Moles on McCullum yesterday which would go a small way to backing it up.

Another thing. When the series finishes a canny few will be in the 16.4

Theyll thrash a few 60 odds off 20 balls and be cheered from the studio at sky

Then we have to end of season county games where none will be involved and it’ll be see you in brisbane lads

Be careful when swinging the golf clubs and where you walk in case a YJB injury occurs
