England v India - Third Test, 10/07

We ain't winning the last two.

Stick a fork in us were done. They didn't even try to draw at Edgbaston and blamed the pitch.

Lost 4 of our top 7 swinging from the hip like divvies today.

Doesn't bode well for the future of this side they've got zero fight when it's tough.
Nice to have a bit of interest but aye, it looks ominous currently. Still, I can enjoy a 5 nowt whitewash if there's good cricket. Even in the Ashes

We are playing in England like a touring team

They’ll all sod off at the end and have no red ball practice until the day before the next test

Time and again in this the better batsmen are getting beaten for pace by straight balls

When this series is finished , they’ll go four months with no red ball and turn up at Brisbane and be four down at lunch first day of batting

They don’t play enough red ball cricket

Without lobbing pressure on Oli Pope who batted poorly, he had 2 or 3 chances of runouts in the Indian innings, personally England haven't been good enough.

India are far superior like.

On balance would say we are better now than before the Baseball era. And back then we had two top class seamers playing for us.

Now we crumble just the same, but once in a while do something real special.

previously we just crumbled.

It’s 10-0 to England on batsmen being bowled in this match. I think that says a lot about the approaches of both teams.

Edit make that 11-0
That’s insane. Only the openers were caught in this innings, everyone else bar Pope who was LBW anyway has been bowled.

If India do win by say 7 or 8 wickets it’ll be interesting to see what changes are made. Crawley for example has never been great but I don’t think he’s ever looked this bad. I think his head has completely gone.

We were better than Australia in the ashes, I don't think any fair minded person would say otherwise.
We were slightly better, but to say we outplayed them is mental. Repeatedly, they took advantage of us having brain farts in key moments (Bairstow at Lords for example). I hate to say it, but they fully deserved to go home with the Urn.

Disagree, they squeezed over the line in the two tight matches, we comprehensively outplayed them in the other three.
I guess we'll find out just how hard it is to bat on this pitch shortly.

Throw the Oval performance away though, because the urn had gone. In matches that mattered we lost 2-1. Aye, the rain saved Australia at Old Trafford, but if you allow yourselves to fall behind 2-0 in a five game series in England, you run the risk of running out of time, so to speak.
Yeah like when the other team has better players?

when I said India has better players player for player in previous test you questioned that?

Still think they have not got better team?

When I put it to you that we have the number 1 and 2 batsman in the world you disappeared. Oddly.

I haven’t got much hope of winning this.

There’s been some good bowling here and there, and the pitch is doing some stuff, but most of our wickets have been due to arsebrain batting.

So even if our (inferior) bowlers are at the top of their game, and the pitch is even worse, all India have to do is bat with half a brain and they’ll walk it.

I’m laying this all on the big three. Root , brook and stokes

They should be ashamed at their dismissals today and they are all top top players with root being the greatest England batsman ever

However

If by some miracle we get out of this , that last few posts will be bumped to hell

Personally I hope they are as England win

Do they actually care?

I know its a horrific thing to say; but I question whether they’re arsed

They really give off the impression that they don't. I'm sure it's not completely accurate, but the media comments, laughing on the balcony and utterly average cricketers in shit form bring undroppable makes you question it. I think there's an arrogance to it all tbh.
