England v India - Third Test, 10/07

Really there are a lot of holes in the this team Crawley, Pope, the seam bowling sub standard spinner.

The form of Stokes with the bat. You only really trust 4 of the batting unit and the bowling is a massive issue.
It's simple really mate, India are better in many areas..but it's not played on like-for-like ability sometimes ;)

Ollie Pope vs ball seaming in from quicks in home Tests

Runs: 424

Balls: 725

Dismissals: 20

Avg: 21.20

SR: 58.48

For further context, he has scored 460 runs at 76.66 against balls with no seam movement and 750 runs at 50 against the ones seaming away - both at a SR of 73.4.

So Graeme Hick, minus the handy off-breaks ;).. Hick is the better test batsman imo.

Pope batting 3
1st innings - 53 average
2nd innings -
2423156519625.6886465.39122653
Nearly half his runs were scored in 1 innings, take that freak innings out and its 16.7 average

Impossible to defend having a number 3 who's a walking wicket in the 2nd half of the match
