Lets be honest. They are concerned of further increase in cases of COVID within the camp if they play the test. Not playing the test will carry the same risks as the current non-infected bubble will still be together anyway. All tests yesterday were negative. They are just more worried about the $$$$ with the IPL.
If they have formally forfeited then thats a victory for England....

Oh I agree with that.
It’s just a massive shame as it’s been a brilliant test match.
When I’ve been to Old Trafford to watch either Lancs or England we’d be well on the way from the NE by now. Feel for everyone travelling.

Got tickets for Saturday. My lad is already en route by train with his mate with hotel booked for tonight. I was driving there tomorrow.
