I don't think a team will ever declare and set us a target, they wouldn't dare.

To think some on here were questioning Jonny’s inclusion in the first test this summer. Just shows we are as good at picking cricket teams as we are Sunderland first teams.

It wasn’t an unreasonable point. Prior to this summer his run of form over his previous 40 innings had been as bad as Pope’s. Criticism and questioning selection was warranted at the time but absolute credit to the selectors for sticking with him.

I don’t think even his biggest fans forecasted this mind. He’s been magnificent and long it may it continue.
