just realised Ghambir isnt playing.

this is becoming embarasing.

No

Sehwag
Ghambir
Khan
Harby

Two best openers in world cricket along with Cook not playing

even when harbi has been playing he has looked very poor.

wouldnt fear sehwag in england either.

the other two are a big miss though.

edit: for someone who uses this word as often as you, id expect you would know how to spell it ;-)

Dravid playing away from his body, surprising.

yip, poor from the batsman

Sehwag is the most destructrive opener in world cricket with the stats to prove it

If he had been playing, we would have got hammered

essex boy said:
forgive me If I am mistaken but Trott and Swann are on the scorecards and Swann if that badly injured wouldnt have come out to block for 5 overs when we had a 460 run lead

Tremlett hardly has the test pedigree of Zaheer Khan at the minute but may in time

another woeful arguement mig

Trott came out to bat with one working arm yesterday. Swann might as well have his left hand beind his back (this may not effect his bowling though) and Tremlett has been one of best bowlers in the past 12 months or so.

you checked his stats in england?

aye its as simple as that, he plays, we lose. load of shite

none of that matters to Excuses Boy.

test avg of 53.43 - best opener in world cricket.

Shame for those that have paid for a ticket as you want to see the worlds best players on these shores

 on the dead bed of india..... its it any coincidence that the sub conts batsmen average much more? nope.

edit: his average against england is 31, so aye, with that kind of sesnational record we would deinitely have lost if he had played haha.

twist? pot and kettle

his average is average against england. fact. so his figures do not suggest we would get hammered if he was in the side. fact.

best opener in world cricket. FACT

yet again Jimmy gets away with it

instead of Sehwag and Gahmbir he gets some lad ive never heard of and who looks like a clubbie

best opener in world cricket bar none.

twist it however you like that is a fact

He is certainly one of them in favouring conditions, but like dangermows says his record in England is average at best. He could hardly be relied upon as he the cornerstone on which India could build on, in order to bridge the huge gap in class there has been between the two sides so far in this series.

Zaheer Khan
Virender Sehwag
Gautem Ghambir
Harby

half their side missings. its hardly a surprise

keep on dodging

so, the stats show the sehwag does well in the sub but that he is average away from home (where conditions dont suit) but you ignore this.

however, when a certain bowler does better is favourable conditions you are all over it.

where is anderson in the rankings again? gerrin jimmy lad. stats are facts!

just a thought, does the opening wicket today for broad not count cos sehwag is missing and dravid wouldnt usually open?

Already explained Sehwag, Ghambir hardly troubled the scorer at Lords, Harbhajan looks a spent force. As for Khan, yes if he was playing maybe India might get within a hundred of England occasionally.

He averages 39 in England. Decent, but certainly not "if he plays we get hammered".

Now you're just repeating the same points that have already been nullified.

EB will ignore anything which goes against his bias opinion

remember, he argued SA test spin attack was better than Englands, using Tahir (who doesnt even get a game cos he cant get in ahead of Harris ) iirc he said he had an arsenal of deliveries up there with Warne

indeed.

and an average of 31 against England overall ?

edit: Sehwag has scored only 527 runs from 11 Tests against England at an average of 31.

aye, thank fuck he didnt play cos we might as well have just written the series off 4 nowt haha.

so each of their batters average 40 they would get 400 in every innings, as I said different series if they werent missing 4 players of world class ability

agree with this, particularly about harbi. seen him against the windies and he looked poor in the main. and same again with this series thus far.

Now you're just being f***ing stupid. Lets just decide every test on the averages of the batsmen and bowlers
