Hes playing in the easiest slot in a batting lineup in CC which is irrelevant largely to how good you are at Test level
But @MustardAndOnions is also saying that he disagrees with his own view that CC performances are irrelevant. So I'm confused.
Only way to sort this![]()
More like what
I was pissed mate so I think I just having a laughHaha sorry just saw this, no not irrelevances, it’s nuanced like, it’s just one aspect of it. The pitches snd bowlers you face in April are as about as far away from test cricket as possible really
It’s his lions record I feel is more applicable, played on more test like pitches against quicker bowlers and bigger spin
Clearly a talent but Doesnt mean he’s a suited to test cricket yet!
Like not average 16 for the lions
His innings v Essex was a good one against a strong attack but the pitch had no pace and bounce. Was interesting how much he struggled against surrey the week before on a quicker pitch against faster bowlers
I am not against him but don’t think he is ready yet meself, hopefully he plays v India A
It’s all judgement though. Someone like Ben McKinney I actually think looks more suited to test cricket than CC,
Yeah he's been doing well with the bat in the last few matches.See he bats at 6 for Glamorgan too.
More young spinning talent the better! Interesting mix as well with Welsh, Irish and then many lads of Asian descent vying for the spot.
