England football teams - equal pay for men and women

Women footballers wanting equal pay is bloody ridiculous. That woman from the USA who never shuts up about it is a knob.
let’s make football gender neutral and if you’re good enough you play. 100% not one woman would be playing to any sort of professional standard.

That Rapinoe bint? I also find her to be a knob. I'm a big fan of Alex Morgan though.

USA pays women more then men (despite law suit) in total annual compensation and benefits.

of course the lasses deserve it Based on results on the pitch.
It's the commercial outcome that's the more accurate determining factor IMHO. Its quite possible that the USA womens team are more commercially lucrative to the US FA than their male counterparts (don't know this - only guessing) so in that instance you couldn't argue with it. Most other FA's will be different.

It’s a standard that will only continue to grow now the players are going professional. Look at football (or cricket) thirty or forty years ago compared to now.

If the ladies can start to actually earn a living from the sport, and are able to train every day, then you’ll see an improvement on the pitch.

Revenue is fine if we’re talking about the clubs, but from the national body I think it should always be about representation.
Yes at a National team level it may be ok, but still the majority of interest is in the men’s team and all the money from sponsors is because of this

That is correct.
Confluence of men’s awful performance (didn’t make the WC) and the women winning the WWC.

also The USS won’t break down sponsorship split between men’s and women’s but major sponsors have dropped hints that they’re paying bc of the women’s wins.

Expect Pulisic, Reyna and several other rising stars to improve US performance and this unusual situation to revert.

It is/was supposed to be for expenses - it was £1000 each when Postman Pat was manager (IIRC), don't know what it is now. That means Mings and Grealish get £1k travelling expenses to get from Birmingham to Burton.

If this is the case I wonder how much money the FA make off the back of the men's team.

Hmm not sure about that one. Over 70,000 for a game at Wembley back in November proves they're starting to gain the same drawing power as the men.

Really?! That must be why attendances for WSL games are measured in hundreds rather than thousands. Most womens' teams would kill for regular attendances like Accrington's

They've been saying this for a good few years now. Little lads playing on South American beaches trained themselves to be the best in the world so not quite sure this splashing the cash theory adds up.

The season before last Man city and Chelsea had the highest average attendance in the WSL one was about 1800 the other was around 1500.

Watching the women’s charity shield the standard was terrible especially the finishing from the 2 best teams in English league, I’m not sure this is really equality when one side is bringing in the majority of revenue and interest, but maybe I’m sexist!

Reminds me of this Bill Burr video on women’s football:

The Aussie girl up front for Chelsea had a terrible game but the overall standard wasn't terrible at all.

Jesus wept.

Watched about 60 seconds of it and that was 60 seconds too much.

Do people actually find that arsehole funny?

Passing short 1-2s where fine, anything Technical like finishing where abysmal

They’ve been giving it to charity for nigh on 30 yrs man.
Virtue signalling from the FA.
Nine months after doing it they go public and they’re virtue signalling?

The whole concept is virtue signaling. For a start, how much money does mens football bring into the FA compared to women’s? I bet the difference is staggering.
