Eng vs India - First Test - 20th-24th June

In the only scenario they win, they wouldn't be "taking" wickets per se, we'd be giving them. Say the rain came now and we didn't start playing again til 5pm yet we still tried to win, there could be balls flying all owa.
It is raining at the moment.
Still on the pitch.
Less than 200 to get.
Duckett in white ball mode.
Loads of batting to come.
Would be miraculous if England lose.

Sometimes run chases like this are only achievable if you don't give a toss about the consequences of getting beat

A very good point that rob, a lot was made of Tongue’s comments last night (and previously Duckett’s) but it’s taken a pair of Aussies (the Grade Cricketer lads) to point out that the psychology of it all is brilliant.

Aye, the rate he scores is class. Always keeps the scoreboard moving.

Think he was on 60 or so off about 90 balls without playing an overly attacking stroke, which proves that these boys don’t need to do owt daft to score quickly. Just have the right mindset and always look to work the ball into gaps (almost Boycott’esque ). I think there’s a lot to be said for a left hand/right hand partnership too.

Oh I agree, 100/1 shot. The question was can anyone make an argument, and I think that's the only way it happens. But very, very unlikely.

The indians were more bazball than England to date

And Siraj will get a knock on the door from the ref

   He’s trying the smiley route now
