Eng vs India - First Test - 20th-24th June

England have been just as bad with asking for ball to be changed mind in recent years. So glasshouses etc.

I like the idea of it being like DRS.

In a mixed XI I'd go with:

Jaiswal
Rahul
Gill
Root
Brook
Stokes
Pant
Jadeja
Carse
Bumrah
Siraj

Duckett maybe a little unfortunate. Bumrah apart, the seam bowling attacks are weak for test match cricket.
We are playing here in England and there's no way Jaiswal would get picked before Duckett over here imo. I agree with the rest although if you were doing this before this test match woakes in England gets picked before every bowler apart from Bumrah.

ECB are greedy bastards guarantee London 2 tests as year and then fleece everyone everywhere else.

Always going to be 2 London Tests as they are guaranteed sell outs and make a fortune from hospitality. Can't see any way one (presumably the Oval) could be dropped.

The highest first wicket partnership between Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett in Test cricket is 233 runs. This partnership was achieved against Pakistan in Rawalpindi in December 2022.

OneCricket reports that this stand was also the fastest double-century opening partnership in Test history.

Thanks Alexa

Hardly anyone there. Can only assume people put off by the poor weather forecasts given the 4 days we've had and what could happen today.
Hopefully time yet for some "Leeds would take more" locals to turn up.

Ha'way England.
Put it in the school holidays and see what happens.

If England were to win this.

India collapses in both innings been the key moments.

We should have been looking at 550+ first innings defecit.

See it to lunch lads.

Nothing more demoralising for a bowling team than to go and entire session not taking a wicket.

Good point. Long may their collapses continue. We just need to find a way for their top order not to score centuries and we're golden.

I mean they have some good plans, just need to execute them a bit better.

Just a suggestion. If the ball is to be changed , could the third umpire , match referee before a days play have a selection all ready made of replacements instead of the time wasting of bringing out a case full and then deciding ?
