Eng vs India - First Test - 20th-24th June

Hope not. How old was Gooch when he had enough ?

I remember Roger Binny in that 83 World Cup final when they beat the peak windies

I think his son has played test cricket as well

I’m enjoying the ref saying why a decision was made , though at times it’s difficult with the accents
I was 2 so I don't remember but Gooch retired for England when he was 41.

Didn’t feel malicious. Looked like a genuine attempt to catch him out the crease. Apologies straight away
I was mid stuffing my face and heard the booing
.

Big inside edge pope there
.

Pope is having a good test start this summer. This is a fine performance so far but would love for him to double it

He scored 160 odd v the Zimmers. About a steady forty v a proper test side now this

I’m pleased for him. He’s been all around the order recently, and has been under pressure.

His average at #3 is currently ~44 and he has as many tons as Trott at 3, in about 15 tests fewer.

I get he’s feast and famine, but the natural talent is there

He's showing a level of maturing here by consolidating slowly and with less risk.. Sensible-we're not out of the mire yet.
