Agree. I think the Australian batting attack is really vulnerable at the moment also.

Khawaja -39 and out of form
Konstas - inexperienced
Labuschangne - hasn't scored a test ton for coming up 2 years
Smith - nowhere near as consistent as he was at his peak
Green - definitely not a number 3
Carey - moderate test record

Head is their only guarantee to get runs at the moment IMO, although Smith will no doubt show up.

It could be a low scoring series decided by a batsman stepping up and scoring 500+ runs in the series.

Khawaja is done
Konstas is …..well who knows
Marnus - twat but think he’s still a player
Smith - not the player he was but still top class
Green - not a 3. Probably a 5. Still think there is hype over substance
Carey - actually do rate him.

I don't disagree with much of that. I think Smith is a more dangerous keeper/bat than Carey, and Green might be a 6, but overall they are definitely a vulnerable batting line up.

The difference is that Smith and Marnus would surprise no one if they had huge series. No reason to believe Root and Brook can't do the same though.

I’ve never seen Cameron Green play well

Pre the last ashes I was reading from Aussies that he was going to be a major difference

He looks timid whenever I saw v England and in the WTC v the saffers
.
Tendulkar thinks India win 3-1

In other news Labuschagne has been dropped for the first test v the Windies

Unlike Smith, Marcus seemed to burn very brightly for a short period.

Yeah think Carey a cracking player actually.

Obviously and rightly soo he was roundly criticized for what happened in the last Ashes.

But think that sometimes clouds people’s view that he a good player

I think Athers is doubtful with the weather conditions
