I heard that my ex missus is waitressing in this place............and for that very reason,i reckon it will be closed by next summer:rolleyes:
 

When we were kids, there was a dark-skinned feller lived upstairs to us - egyptian or from somewhere near-hand - use to boil chickens and that for hours in grit big pans with spices that smelled like a cross between germoline and tooth tincture... that was the stock... then a good pound of lentil/split pea and boil that up... then he chucked a few taties and that in the pot.. served it up on a pile of rice...
The stock pan boiled dry once, and me ma played Holy Hell wirrim for stinkin the place out...

There was a rather abrupt/salt of the earth/rough around the edges/down-to-earth/normal wife with dark hair who served us last time we were there. She seemed canny enough but had no idea what she was doing at all. Ended up bein served by this middle-aged fella who was canny crack and who gave our lass a little plate upon leaving which was a bit random.
Not sure if this means he now owns her but if it does he owes me money for her Christmas present.[DOUBLEPOST=1387366203][/DOUBLEPOST]

So if I take mrs_safc123 there tonight will she think "ooo mr_safc123 is really pushing the boat out and I will treat him later" or think " it's shite in here the cheap skate can't wait to read the rest of me book when a get in"????

Think it'll have a good atmosphere when it's busier - try it ?
 
Trust me people don't bother. Been tonight very nice decor inside, absolutely hideous food! Got halloumi starter thing very basic hard to mess up, then mixed shawarma for main. I can honestly say a fel fel chicken kebab is 100x better for taste, the meat tasted off and the chips were the cheapest shittiest frozen chips I have ever had. Really disappointed like cos like I say decor is there but the food fails to match it, shame as it could be nice restaurant.

I know a couple of people who like their food who really rate this place? So to get a review like this I'm surprised.

Did you tell the waiter, you'll find most restaurants will appreciate the comments much more than they would by you coming onto a public message board and slating the place.
 
You have to feel a little sad for a person who searches back thro old pages of a messageboard on the off-chance of being able to slag a local restaurant off like. On Christmas eve no less. :oops:[DOUBLEPOST=1387871953][/DOUBLEPOST]

That review bares no resemblence to our trip there, almost to the point where i dont believe it. I've never been to a place as bad as has been described ever tbh mind. :lol:
