Went last night and enjoyed it, the bill came to £78 for four which included two rounds of drinks and 3 courses each. Staff were lovely and the place was quite busy for a Tuesday night, hopefully it stays open!

Went at the weekend, was absolutely lush and can't wait to go back. Had the meat sweats good and proper and was like a beached whale by the time I had finished scranning. Had to sit back downstairs for a recovery pint after the meal to compose myself. Did pouch two starters and a £16 mixed grill to myself like.

That's what am gettin next visit like. Ye fat knacker.

We went a month or so back. While i applaud anyone trying something different in Sunderland all the dishes we had were distinctly average. Nothing served to us could not have been replicated at home better. I thought the food displayed at best very little technique. Basically what someone with a modicum of cooking ability could produce by following a cook book recipe. Sorry i really wanted to like it. Fried semi raw potato starter was especially naf.

It's not like a one with sausages, pork chop and a grilled tomato man, its essentially a mixed kebab from the charcoal menu so cubes of chicken, tandoori chicken, lamb, lamb and beef koftas etc. Meat heaven.

Marra I totally agree, but as long as the SMB are happy tucking into their Wetherspoons-sequel mixed grills with a pint of Carling then the restaurant will dee areet.

I've been i had bread with dips and a few other nibbles.

was nice........

just a few starters i wasn't really hungry i just wanted to try it.

Stop talkin shit.
Telling the truth marra, I hope the restaurant is a success...luckily the owner is savvy enough to know that the most exotic meal Sunlun folk try is a Nando's or a Pataks jar of sauce, so it makes sense that they serve Wetherspoons-esque fry ups rather than proper Egyptian fare. Haway man, the most popular dish so far according to those who have visited the gaff has been a shish kebab man, that says it all about the level of culture of people who eat there..

be closed by the end of January and he will take his coin and move North where he will be a roaring success....
