I have zero problem with a local journo doing the hard yards and summarising the work of the nationals in a single source.

In fact I'd say that's exactly what I'd expect from the local paper these days. The Athletic and others produce some great articles but the Echo will capture the main headings and then let us dig further if we wish.

Works for me.
