Early leavers and final whistle on Sunday

West Ham and Brighton are definitely worse, both have public transportation issues from what I understand. Old Trafford has always been bad too, St James notoriously bad too until the oil money came in. The Hungarian at Liverpool actually criticised fans for leaving early, they are the club I least associate with doing it I would say, so it’s defo across the board.
Brighton have serious issue for it, everytime I see them on tv this season there is empty seats everywhere all game and way more near half and full time. It’s just easier to spot in these new modern stadiums it happened all the time at roker park just way less noticeable and not as many games on tv.
Why would they do that they already have your season ticket money, you might spend a small fortune on the concourse.
Also a huge safety issue 🤣 they can barely manage to scan people coming in without massive lines imagine trying to get people out 🤣

Scan the late comers then take their season tickets off them after 3 late arrivals😂
Thats one way of getting the waiting list down.

It’s fool all to do with that.
If I stay and come out with the crowd it takes me an extra hour to get home arriving at 8-830.
Sorry if that upsets you but I’ll be going slightly early.
Well that’s what time you get home from the match, just factor it in to your day.
Why do you need to be home earlier?
It’s all a bit micey this getting home early.

Don't understand this obsession with early leavers if they want to go let them? Is it not up to a individual when to leave for various reasons - watching aload of shite/coach bringing on a defender for a forward whilst getting pumped 2 nowt or more at home in last 10 mins of a game/work/transportation issues/family emergency etc etc who gives a fk

There are 365 days in a year, you have just 19 of those to watch and support the team.
But you f*** off early to get home quicker.
Thats what I don’t understand.

Again what has it got to do with you what other people want to do? People leave for various reasons not just getting home quicker look at my post I have stated various reasons. If you have a problem with it stop them and tell them

Same can be said for late comers your normally in town 2-3 hours before KO so why be late getting in the ground.

Ffs start another thread late fans coming into the stadium. Another note has Kane still got the garage in Emmerdale

Because it spoils the atmosphere for the rest and for the players.

I know for a fact from personal experience (nothing bad!) that the club monitor this forum closely.

As such, if they’re really serious about trying to encourage people to stay until the end, they first need to get to the bottom of why folk are leaving.

They need to put in some hard yards here and contact all SC holders and people on the ticket database about this just to establish some facts. Nothing confrontational, just a fact finding mission to see if those who leave early do so all the time or some of the time?

If the former, is it habitual, due to concerns over getting out of the stadium (perhaps if with young children or due to mobility issues), to go to the pub/for food, for transport/traffic reasons, or a combination of the above.

If the latter, is this due to personal circumstances on the day or due to the match situation.

In either scenario, is there anything the clubs could to that would help.
For me, it's traffic congestion and this has been invested in in the past when the stadium first opened. They had manual traffic light management in place and it worked brilliantly.

Leaving 5 minutes after the whistle can add an hour to travel time. Many don't realise that we have thousands of SC holders who live 100+ miles away.

Tricky telling 10 to 20 thousand.

Next season why not have an early leavers end, out of view of the cameras, and charge them less. Then, dont let them stay after 80 minutes, push them out of the back of the stands onto broken glass and bonfires.
Well, it is a witch hunt isnt it?
